Johan and Eva were married in Oct. 1880 and had their first child, Hula, the following February.  Apparently the Donahue tradition of inviting your first born to your wedding has deep roots.

Some real tragedy struck this family.  At least 5 of the above children died before the age of 5 years.  They also lost a 15 year old girl (Emma) and a 12 year old boy (Arvid) within 10 days of each other in March, 1920.
