William Ring

Born c. 1579

Of Pettistree, England

Married May 21, 1601 in Ufford, England to Mary Durant

Died 1629 Leiden, Holland.  William and Mary and kids were scheduled to travel on the Speedwell, a sister ship to the Mayflower, in 1620.  A couple of days out, the Speedwell developed leaks and most of the passengers were then transferred over to the Mayflower.  Alas, not the case for William and family.  They stayed in Leiden for 9 years when William finally died.  His widow Mary and their child, Susanna Ring made the voyage on the Second Mayflower (not to be confused with the Mayflower II currently sitting in Plymouth Harbor) in 1629.
